Early USMC Vietnam M1 helmet

No history on this helmet and the pictures are for the seller and I did buy it.
Thoughts on the possibility of being an early Marine M1.
The Mitchell cover is tan side out which not exclusively Marine but was worn that way by many.

Tough to say when and where IMHO. Looks like it had more storage issues than actual wear based on pics. I would trust you judgement in hand. Nice set at any date it falls. Ticks all the boxes for me.

All the components are early to mid 60’s and a lot of early sets used the leather chinstrap

Not often I see one quite as faded out as this. Fingers crossed there is some ID inside that liner. Very nice addition.
