Late Vietnam War M1 Helmet

Hello,

I want to show you this late Vietnam M1 helmet.

The well-preserved low dome shell comes from the Parish Division of the Dana Corporation and is painted in Munsell 10Y 3/3. Sand texture.



Inside is the typical four-digit number. These shells were made between 1968 and 1970.



The liner dates from 1968 and is complete so far.












The chinstrap has no markings and is likely from the end of the 1960s. North & Judd Mfg. Co. produced such metal parts from 1967 to around 1972.





The helmet cover is a rare ERDL cover from 1969.

Here's a Dana I have, refurbished.

Why refurbished? The shell looks to me like the original factory color.
She just got a new chin strap.
