M1 Captain’s Helmet - Korean War Vintage w/ “Follow Me” Stripe

I like the M1’s with soldered on rank devices. Have had this one for decades but do not recall when or where I got it. A rear seam with WWII cork paint under a wash of light green paint, welded on Captain’s bars, with clip on ball-in-hook chin straps, and a Westinghouse liner with a painted on Captain insignia. The “Follow Me” stripe is medical tape and has been there forever. This one has been there. I think the pictures say more than I could so here they are. Hope you like it. Jim G.

Nice Jim. You see a lot of these sloppy applicated/soldered metal insignia on these. I think they are cool too. I wonder if they just picked it off as done here if promoted ? Nice set. Also after the war the oversized stripe applied though I have never seen one this big I don’t think.
