I recently picked this M1 liner up from ebay, I was wondering if anyone knew the unit that this decal comes from?

    Korea era Westinghouse/Micarta liner 1952

The only thing I found close was the 40th Infantry Division "Sunshine Division", this is more of a sun burst decal.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

My best guess is that the decal is of a sunflower and is related to the Kansas National Guard. I found a good thread on USMF about the unofficial sunflower patch that patch king made for the 89th and in it they also discuss how the sunflower was used by their state national guard. The sunflower decal matches the Kansas National Guard patch. Also that's a nice looking liner.
