This 65 date cover came out of a large surplus crate from Smith & Edwards in Utah many many years ago.
The older gentleman who sold it would climb into the box to look for covers for his wife to sell to make a little extra money. He said there were hundreds of covers with writing but his wife liked clean one’s. She never sold this one and it sat in a box it their garage for years.
I believe the soldier freshened up the writing at some point you can see the old writing under the newer ink but it’s old. He left the flowers alone, There’s one flower on the top, two flowers on the back and one on the front
