Hi Guys ...Here was a nice find. A guy was selling his Dads collection on ebay a bit under the radar. On the way to their summer vacations in Washington State his Dad used to stop at various Army Navy shops and pick up items in the 1980s. This Schlueter Shell looks unissued and cost his father $2.95. Its a Front Seam / Swivel Loop with OD7 straps. It was just the shell but I had a lightly used (if even issued could have just been poorly stored) Westinghouse that I ended up pairing this with .... along with an unissued Sweatband and Nape Strap. I collect German Helmets too and I like them Dirty and Grimy ... That being said... there is something nice about having an example that would have looked just like when the GI received it. Thanks Marty I feel like in my early days (not too long ago) I was a bit prejudiced towards Swivels but the fact remains they are Warrtime produced helmets and now I am happy to have quite a few. An inordinate amount went to the Navy it seems which I started collecting.

Yes it was a home run ... now time to go into hibernation with a couple of recent finds. Im Tapped Marty LOL
