Article about: Hi, Today I have acquired this M1 liner, I have heard that some of them were unpainted and had 2 stamps. This one has Capac and Westinghouse, which I have saw already. However it is in mint

probably Westinghouse (what ever they did?) 53, later 4th quarter 51, 1st quarter 52 Capac made, note the over stamp 53 on mine

The factory paint did wear off on some liners. This one was used in the PTO and a camo was applied during that time.

It’s a married named lid and liner but you are correct, When you aren’t on the line you go around with just the liner. It’s lighter and cooler to wear than a steel pot.
