Urgent Identity Help Needed(moved)
Article about: This one's got a good grip on it so whoever it belonged to must have glued it or something to keep it from slipping. (I guess???) Is that a pretty common occurrence for these things?

To me it looks very new, looks like the type of helmet they used in the Dutch army up untill the '90's.

Re: Urgent Identity Help Needed(moved)
Is there anyway I can get in under the liner to check for markings without damaging it?

Re: Urgent Identity Help Needed(moved)
Your gonna have to push the cloth part of the liner to side if you wanna find the marks in it

Re: Urgent Identity Help Needed(moved)
It has markings for CAPAC and Westinghouse, with a 5 and 1 on either side of the CAPAC cross and a 33 over the Westinghouse mark.
The research I've done leads me to believe it's a 51 model swivel bale with the rear seam. But how could I tell for sure that it's authentic, and what would be the value of one of these in the condition it's in?

Re: Urgent Identity Help Needed(moved)
the liner is 1950's era the shell maybe either late WW2 or Vietnam era cant really tell from the small pictures if its a US made shell it should have whats called heat stamp numbers on the inside of the shell normally found near the inside of the front peak area.

How do I pull the liner out to check? I've tried and tried and for the life of me I can't get it to budge.

Re: Urgent Identity Help Needed(moved)
If you mean by taking out the cloth part that cant be done unless you have some sort of tool, if wanna take it out of the shell try pulling from the center part of the cloth area gently
