I think it is a very nice helmet.
I have a couple in my collection and I think they are under-rated.
These covers were used during the Vietnam War along with Mitchell pattern covers.
One of my helmets like this is a WWII Fixed bail/loop with a WWII liner and a 53' cover.
The other one has a later swivel loop and WWII liner and a 53' cover.
You can really see any combo of earlier or later helmet with a 53' cover.

Hello, I think a little late for the Korean War.
The USMC cover is manufactured by BLUE ANCHOR OVERALL Co. Inc.
I think April 29, 1953 is the contract date, not the production date.
Would fit so well on a Vietnam display.
    Yes agreed
