Would love to get your help in identyfying this M1 helmet a relative collected

    The helmet liner is a ballistic nylon "Combat, Type I" liner, produced between 1965-1974. You might be able to see the contract stamp on the suspension opposite from the "PFC V" marking. There should also be a mold-in maker's mark in the very top of the inside. "Type I" is for ground troops and "Type II" is configured for parachutists use.

    Hi,
    I had some Parrish Dana with anchor stamped chinstrap. Also by the look of the heat stamp on the steel shell I also agree that this is Parrish Dana. Vietnam War era is my period of interest, so I can say this is nice helmet for that period.
