This one came in this AM. A really nice gun dealer was almost giving this away and though I need another M1 like a hole in the head...I couldn't pass. When it came was pleasantly surprised at how cool it was.

Light stamping on this one but looking at profile and the way the paint has darkened this is a Mccord for me rather than a Schlueter. Cargo Net is stiff and skanky. Westinghouse Liner says "Goliath" on the front and has a Swastika on the back. The OD3 straps have a stamped steel J Hook and Buckle. It has a great look. The dealer even threw in a what looks like possibly unissued or lightly used Westinghouse Liner. You get lucky sometimes. Collecting rules. Thanks for looking.

    Hi there,

    very nice helmet.

It was painted over in semi-gloss OD # 7, which means a revision in the 1950 íger years and a deployment in Korea war could mean.

    Best Regards

In my experience Sleepwalker. This is a textbook darkening of a WW2 McCord Shell. I have quite a few M1s. 0 to do with KW Era helmets. I have some of those too . Always happy for the comments brother. Just ... I don’t think so for this one. And as opposed to even some WW2 era repaints I have. Period repaints. I don’t think this one even has one repaint.
