WW2 Parish Reading M1 helmet

Article about: So here is a helmet I thought I’d never have the privilege to own. It’s a pretty rare WW2 era M1 helmet and produced by Parish Pressed Steel Company and finished by Reading of Pensilvania. A

    Love the paint on that one! My own Parish is a P1, got it off the bay earlier this year. Your post here actually made me aware of them at first, I'm glad to share this here where I sort of began this journey to find one:

    Interestingly enough, this one only has 11 welds. A pair have not yet been added near lone weld at the front.

    Always nice to see a Parish.congrats and nice to see threads posted do help others with knowledge and purchases.

    TsorsT great score. These are not easy to come by and I love the shiny finish on your example. I’ve seen a lot of M1s with this type of glossy finish to them. As to why I can only guess that these were used by soldiers for sentry duty on gates to military bases or some sort of ceremonial purposes.
