you have a helmet shell and a liner from 1950's US production.
The heat stamp with the M- means that the shell was manufactured by McCord between 1951 and 1958, or for a very small order in 1965.
The color looks very light ... should be Munsell 10Y / 3. Then the shell would have been overhauled and repainted in the 1960s.
North & Judd's chinstraps (anchor symbol) were made in this way until around 1967.
The liner is a copy by CAPAC / Westinghourse, manufactured around 1951-1953.
The liner was painted over and given the decal.
It is questionable whether these liners have ever seen Korea.
The way the helmet looks, it is more likely to date to the Vietnam era.
However, as far as I could research, the XVI Corps was never deployed in Vietnam.
