Polizei Stick Pin Help Please

That you for all of the references and comments. I am more comfortable that it is a well worn original as I can feel a little of the spiraling left. I do not know the standard use of the pins other than some type of more dress attire and would not expect to see much wear on the shaft of a stick pin. The wear is not from poor storage. Interesting though. Thanks again for commenting and sharing. I also have not seen too make fakes of the cheaper stick pins like this but I am sure someone has tried.

I'm glad we could help. It gave me an opportunity to revisit my pin case again. I really haven't collected any new ones in a long while. They are very rewarding as an economical miniature version of medals and insignia.
