Hi guys, I got these pieces in a trade years ago and was wondering about their authenticity. The collar tabs are a machine woven aluminum and green rayon with twisted aluminum piping. I've seen them referred to as "Protection Police" ( civil police ?) collar tabs & Schutzpolizei NCO tabs on various sites. The shoulderboards are made of the same green rayon material with fine silver thread on the braid. I believe these are in the rank of Meister, an NCO I suppose. Both have been described as typically being worn on the police M36 tunic through the end of the war. Both appear to be unissued. Are these possibly post war ? The synthetic material made skeptical although I know some were used. I'm putting together a small polizei display with a new visor, buckle & medal I just recently bought and I only want to use period items. thanks in advance for the help. Al.
