Mosin-Nagant 91/30 rifle front sight adjustment tool 1944

My only concern on the item I purchased was the fourth digit on the date 1944 looks as though it has been erased and replace with a ‘4’ to make it wartime just as we can discover on documents and other items. If you had sent me the box I ordered that was pictured on your eBay I would have been indifferent.
I have no problem with the site tool at all.
