So the BA64s had two of these bags on the back side where the gunner is. Anyone have a clue what they are for? Others have told me brass catch bags but the DT/DTM catch bags to not look anything like this.

this is what I was thinking but they don't look like standard F1 grenade pouches. the vehicles this bag is in would have carried 6 F1 grenades in it. I know the pouches soldiers wore carried 3 each. these look much larger.

I don't think it is a grenade pouch.
Its size and shape looks like a PTRS/PTRD cartridge pouch. Long shot, but some of these cars were converted to carry a anti-tank rifle.
Other things of the 'right size' are early breadbag?
ok so those bags are grenade bags. They are vehicle specific 3 pouch F1 grenade bag.
