    Here is my friend's grandfather original NR-40 knife:
    ÑÀÂÀØ :: Ïðîñìîòð òåìû - Íîæ ðàçâåä÷èêà (ÍÐ-40)
    The sheath and handle are wartime made, but you can check the blade.

    Hi !

    You mean this one, but it´s not identical in construction as Ian´s knife.

    I think, Ian´s knife really could be russian-made, (have a look at Ian´s knife´s belt-hanger !) ?

    I used to find them at Polish fleamarkets and sold one on ebay a couple of years ago and got $225 as I recall...maybe more.

    I have one still in my collection and will post photos soon. It's a typical one in very nice condition.

    ...
    I´d appreciate !

    Hi Ian, this is not a standard pattern knife compared to others I have seen. Personally I would pass on it.

    Cheers, Ade.
    IMHO this has been a mistake, if Ian really passed on it because I´m sure, this is indeed a standard pattern knife ...

    Hi !

    Compare Ian´s pic in his opening post here in this thread with the pic of my, (so far), unknown fighting-knife !
    Don´t mistake it with the pic of my "NR 40" !

    The grip of Ian´s knife is quite similar to the grip of the knife, I showed first here in this thread !
    Ian´s knife´s blade´s obviously sharpened to it´s point but it show´s the same details as it´s blade like at my knife !

    I think, Ian´s knife and mine really could be Russian fighting-knive´s ?

    I hope, somebody´ll solve this riddle soon ... !
