Heres another variation , whisch i was told was used in Winter alongside snow camo coveralls . It also came out of Leningrad where i was sorting through a pile of various covers .
The Aluminium canteen is interesting being a Soviet made imperial pattern dated 1929.
Very nice white canteen cover. Thanks for showing it. Maybe someone will be able to translate what is stamped on the strap.
The canteen date is Odd to me. I wonder why they would have 2 dates "28-29" ?? Never seen a dual date before on anything,
Very interesting.

The strap on the pouch reads ;LENINGRAD ,GORSTKINA ULITSA 31.(st name). on the canteen GOSPROMSVETMETAL. 28-28.
Whatever stamps one gets used to , i feel there will always be more .
Ive heard of a pink shade glass canteen as well as brown and amber ones !

It's a transititional M 27 canteen. Usualy M 27 canteen has a 27-28 markings, and a bit longer than this example. That is a very rare one
