I'm about to buy these two grenades... What do you think about them? The white stripe indicates anything?

The RG42 with a white band denotes a practise grenade.
Both are good items, just a pity the body is missing from the RDG33.

Are Your sure RG42 is pre 1945 made? At least zünder is not OK, it is Eastern block made after 1945. RGD33 is a nice original but it is missing main part of the grenade.
I never actually thought the RG42 was wartime. But in my defence, that was not the question asked.

Hi
The RG42 is a Polish People's Army post war era practise (Cwicz.) granade.
Cheers
Hi all! Sorry for the delay here! The RG42 has no holes as stated on Ade's link for the gases to escape after the practice throwing so it may be a real one... The fuze on it appears very clean to be ww2 made... On the fuze's handle are the followings:
"CWICZ 09-90 UZRGM 354" and a red stripe!
Τhe body of the grenade looks a lot older than the fuze! Might it be a post war fuze applied on a ww2 era RG42 body?
In my opinion it's a Polish People's Army practise granade (the fuze is 100% post war Polish, the body could be war era but I doubt it). (ĆWICZ. is a shortcut for Ćwiczebny --> practise in Polish).CWICZ 09-90 UZRGM 354
I think I would go with Adam's opinion.
Cheers, Ade.
