1934-35 pattern NSDAP eagle

Article about: I picked up another one of these nice 1934-35 pattern eagles designed for Nazi Party Officials' caps, but often used on SA and SS caps. This one has all of it's attachment prongs and stamped

Very nice pieces and just love how the darkened patina gives them depth.
Nice displays as well but how do you attach them on the red background without bending the prongs?
I’m always wary of doing so in case I am sorry.
Thanks for posting all those great Cap eagles

Thanks, I use a standard riker display case that comes with thick cotton filler. Then I cut a piece of the stiff type felt found in any craft store. The pressure of the glass against the insignia and filler keep them in place with no need to pierce the background

Just bought another one of these larger political eagles from Kramer. Nicely marked rzm 72. I'll post it in detail when it arrives.
