Hello all,
I've bought this skull for 10,- on my local marketplace. It was in a lot of multiple WW2 era objects. It was listed as "fake / Reproduction". So no harm done..
I am still learning every day. And with all the knowledge that this forum and the members have given me over time, i can spot the fakes better by day. Experience from in hand inspection is also crucial in my opinion. This is the reason i have bought this one. I think there is something "off" about it to.
Most fakes that i come across are cast pieces and those are easier to spot due to cast lines and such. This one is made from some kind of metal/copper alloy and is stamped. The back side has heavy corrosion, The front has some detail on it.
I hope some of you can learn from these pictures im showing you below:
Best regards,
Dos
