It amazes me when you look at the ruined landscape that anything worth collecting survived. Yet here we are perusing these immaculate tunics and caps.

For this, other parts emerged untouched. However, denazification and demilitarization meant that a lot of uniforms were destroyed.

But a lot was also saved, even though it was considered to be junk. SS uniforms were regarded as especially toxic.
