SS skull cap badge - RZM 499/41 real or fake?

Title should say - 499/41! Can’t remember how to edit it.
I know nothing about these and have been out of the game for 5 years, just came across this listing as I was looking for a skull and was curious. What is the consensus?

I wish photos were a little better to show details on front. Color looks little off but that could be lighting. IMO I believe it is original Zimmermann round pin. Wait for the experts like Aldo and Anotherant.

Based on those photo's and pins I say fake cast skull. But they're getting closer imitating this type only found in cupal.

I also have a photo album with a fake skull that looks really good. It also has the round pins like the skull in the OP

Al I'm looking and all the round pins I'm finding are pointed do you know if they made authentic ones with flat ends. At this point with color and flat end along with your experience I would stay away from this one.

The only round pins I'm aware of are on the Assmann, The Deschler 254/42, and some aluminum Danziger's. They all end in a point. None on Zimmermann skulls









The only skull with blunt round pins is the Belgian TK (ugly as sin)
