Hi Folks,
My friend has just obtained this pennant and we're wondering if anyone here can enlighten us as to what the (abbreviated?) words on it mean, or give us any further info you might have...
Thanks in advance,
Arran.

Hello Arran,
That is a really nice HJ Pennant.
So it is from the 6th Company or Gefolgschaft
The Bann number 13 as you can see is correctly given as number 13 that had it's HQ in Munster.
In my old HJ handbook they used to be part of Gebiet 9 Westfalen Nord but I do know that numbers changed throughout the 30s and 40s
This particular Bann was identified as a Flieger HJ that prepared the boys for service in the Luftwaffe.
The instructors and training equipment would have come from the NSFK
They would have been involved in the construction and operation of gliders and would have received aeronautical instruction in aviation, Arial geography and other related subjects.
I would be guessing but the abbreviated lettering could be kampfgeschwader teja? Perhaps TEJA is an abbreviation for Telgte as I knew it as that was an old Luftwaffe base in the Munster area?
Perhaps others could confirm for you
Cheers
Doug
