I would ask for more pictures of the stampings and the flag overall.. Close up of the stitching, the material, the rope (which doesn't look good from what I see)..
If they are not willing to provide those, something is suspicious.. That at least is a red flag for me...
Smitty
The stamps are overkill.. Red Flag #1
Not one I would want to purchase.
I would avoid this one.. I don't think I have ever seen an RZM stamp on an original TR flag,,
Plus you have to really ask yourself, If this is a NSDAP Flag, why would you have to stamp it as an NSDAP Flag?? Are people not going to know their own Organization?? Red Flag # 2
Wait for some others to confirm/deny my suspicions
But for me...Pass it on by...
Who and where is this being sold and how much are they asking??
Smitty
I'll also add, that I believe that the flag may have been a good one, but the stamps were added post war to increase the value... millions of these flags were made and there were warehouses found with bundles of them laying about...
Someone got the idea to increase the value by getting an ink pad and some stamps though....
Made to deceive and fool the unsuspecting and uninformed I truly believe..
Research and study is the key..
@CollectorOfSpecialItems, definitely put stock into what Smitty says. He knows what he is talking about. I would also second his opinion on stamps. Post-war stamps are so easy to apply and it's quite common. Cheap and quick way to increase appeal & value.
definitely a REPRO.....
Thx! I really appreciate the help from you guys
If the HK was not actually sewn onto the white ring in general, it seems to me as printed.
