Nsdap flag

... I am an Italian collector and new to the group. I have always been a fan of German military memorabilia

ask for opinions of the Nsdap flag.
this flag was given to me by friends of my father and comes from Pennsylvania was closed in a trunk for many years.
I don't understand what kind of flag it is , the swastika is straight not tilted .
The measurement is 44 inches wide by 34 inches high (or 112 cm wide by 86.5 cm high).

without rings or holes for hanging !

Please I need your opinion .... I do not understand how the flag was used, and then the swastika is in an upright position ... Like the flags of the first type SA.
My flag is a single sided, sewn-construction flag.
