It's a fake fantasy pennant from Delta International I'm afraid, the design never actually existed in period. They were prominent in the 70's and were based in Lafayette, California. This pennant retailed then for $14.50.

There was a number of fantasy SS pennants put out by Delta International. One shows up on the forum every 3-4 months. Welcome to the forum.

This one may be fake, but for the sake of accuracy, I beg to differ when it comes to it being a fantasy piece.

An FM car- and bicycle pennant of this design existed and was illustrated in the Organisationsbuch der NSDAP.

Interesting! I've never seen an original-they must be as rare as frog feathers...

The armband is the fantasy item which is based upon the pennant.

    Cheers, Ade.

The pennant "Fördernde Mitglieder der SS der NSDAP" is not at all a fantasy item (the shown one must be seen as a fake).
As far as I know the car-pennant was shown in the regulation: SS-DV 25 from September 15, 1936
(Vorschrift über das Führen von Kraftwagen-Wimpeln und Kommanoflaggen von Dienstgebäuden und Privaträumen
    für die Schutzstaffeln der NSDAP
    ).

At this moment I cannot find the regulation, otherwise I would have scanned the related page. Will see if I can find it
(but a part of my files is a mess these days). And yes, it was included in the "Organisationsbuch der NSDAP" (see image
from the issue from 1943). As far as I know the first form did have slanting letters F and M:

SS FM Pannent SS FM Pannent

Car flags in general for the SS were described as an article in the "Military Advisor" number 2 from
spring 2004. This article covered all what was known about car flags with 28 pages.

As mentioned in the earlier post: the FM pennant is not at all fantasy.

It existed anyway since 1935. Here shown a part from a letter from the
Chef des Verwaltungsamtes-SS to the SS-Hauptamt from July 17,
    1935
. The letter mentions the pennant had to have the size 22 x 33 cm.
The letter was accompanied by a drawing (with the slanting FM
    indication) with the other size.

September 15, 1936 the SS-DV 25 the regulation about the use of car
pennants and command-flags was published. I found the regulation and it
was not a mess. It simply was there where it should be, but I had overlooked
it. Page 23 shows the regular SS-pennant as well as the FM form (the letters
were not slanting anymore), the size noted is as the 1935-size.

It might be of interest to know what Himmler thought about the use of
car pennants. These thoughts, explained in a letter from December 27,
    1944
to the highest ranked individuals from the SS, police and Waffen-SS
he informed them. Actually the use after January 1, 1945 was mentioned.
    So they were forbidden.

The reason was that its use was not significant. The old days from the
"Hauptmann von Köpenick" were gone and so its mentality. The allies
knew who was in a car (and did send their soldiers in German uniforms,
possibly with the highest ranks). For the same reason licence plates,
especially those from the German police, had to be removed and exchanged
for not attracting plates (nicht auffällige Kennzeichen).
