Looks in remarkable condition for something left on a training area/range! I hope that its gone for restoration or preservation because it would be a shame for something like that to get cut up or used as a target.....
Thanks
Danny
Maybe Eddie nicked it Just joking.
Maybe Eddie does have it sitting in his yard
Thanks
Danny
I think, all joking apart, that this was recovered for restoration, maybe even by Eddy !
Perhaps he will see this and confirm

i'm afraid somebody else beat me to it but it went to the best possible place. hill 112 in normandy as a memorial to the men that fought for control of it. click on the link for the story of one mans struggle to honour the men he fought alongside.

i'm not a 100% sure but i think the guy sitting on the centurion arv is adrian barrell a well known tank restorer and good guy to know, he's also a member of this forum and did a thread about the multibank engine rebuild he did for his sherman, an amazing bit of engineering. funnily enough it was after reading adrian's thread that i really got the tank bug (he's got a lot to answer for)
all the best

I'm leaving for Normandy tomorow,
I can pop over there and take a few pictures of the tank in situ if you guy's want.
Cheers,
Steven
That would be fantastic Steven I'm glad that this one hasnt had the same fate as other AFV's that have been left on the ranges
Thanks
Danny
Eddy8men: Thanks for answering my query. Did you get the Comet that was in a neighbouring crater?
Steven: Some pics of the Churchill in situ at Hill 112 would be great!
