    Hello all

I have this M5A1 Stuart wheel dated April 1944 in my collection which was found in a forest nearby (Netherlands, close to Arnhem/Nijmegen)

It still has some spots of paint, my question is: is this paint the original tank color?

Better pictures of the paint spots are coming!

    Here better picture

Seeing as the backside is clear of black paint, it can only be either field painted, or done post war

There also are these small green spots all over the wheel, any idea's?

Wheels may have ended up on a farmers cart or trailer post war.

Agree. I would doubt that square shaft and bracket are original

    Neat find though

The black spots are actually spots of tar, probably done by a farmer re-using it.

Will post it here if I find any new things
