Here's one of the (many) guns still standing as memorials here, this one being a 1942-dated 8,8 cm Flak. There were several AA batteries equipped with German-made guns, fire control computers and radar units around the city of Helsinki during the late-war period of 1943-44. Some of the local guns have recently received a little refurbishment - this one might need some love as well.

Great thread folks, Thought i would add this memorial. This is just around the corner from where i work in chineham park Basingstoke. In memory of his father's service in the airforce, Centerprise international's owner Rafi Razzak had a fall size Hawker Hunter jet fighter installed on a pedestal out side his business premises. The flag of Iraq is on the tail plane in honour of his family's heritage. I must say it does look most impressive when you drive up the road towards it! Regards Paul
