The Plate is mounted on the Elevator.
What does Elevator. ?
That is, the nameplate is not from the carriage (trailer)
And from the lift?
But the caliber is also indicated there.
cannon
Why is it on the lift?

The "Gun" ist mounted. The Mount has a Traverse (left/right) and an Elevator (Up/down).
The caliber is on almost every ID Plate for all parts that aren't interchangeable with another caliber
-
Yes, I understand that.
how the cannon moves.
And from what all the same the nameplate?
Not from the carriage (trailer) for sure
Does it come from the installation itself?
Or all the same from the whole weapon?

The ID Plate says exactly what it is: a "Carriage, Gun".
The M2 Carriage is a trailer, with 4 wheels and a drawbar. The Bofors 40mm was quite possibly the most common Anti Aircraft gun. If one considers everywhere it was installed it comes as no surprise that an Elevator on an M2 Carriage is identical to the Elevator on a Ships AA

Found an expert on the Matter...
The Plate is fitted to the upper Carriage, which can be mounted anywhere you like
