Article about: Does anyone recognise this? Found in Berlin battle site in woods. I wondered if it was a light cover. Green patina. May be post war but doesn’t look like an area for post war manoeuvres. N

    Does anyone recognise this? Found in Berlin battle site in woods. I wondered if it was a light cover. Green patina. May be post war but doesn’t look like an area for post war manoeuvres. Near fields so maybe agricultural part.

    I don't recognise the specific type but it does look like one.

    I can see a hinge allowing the full cover to block the light for 'blackout', but does the lens somehow provide reduced lighting for 'brownout' option?

    That would make sense but I can't really see how it operates from the photos

    Blackout lamp cover, tarnscheinwerfer. The Wehrmacht Notek lamps or rear lamps look very different. I don't think it is NVA pattern so may be Soviet.
