I think if the issues with the liner band do not keep you awake a night and you are comfortable with that, then it's a keeper for you. The exterior looks nice with a good decal IMO.
I wouldn't pad the liner out, I would leave as is.

Seriously that's how I do it with my fragile Q beaded Luftshutz helmet as it has the paperish liner and it does relieve the pressure off the liner tongue holes. Plus I wouldn't worry about the band, ya don't see it anyway but.... you must have paid top dollar?? Hope not?
A friend from another forum Michael (AKA Panzerheld) recently showed off his brilliant idea for protecting the leather liners of his helmet collection. Purchased from eBay these simple yet cheap cap holders help to support the liner and don’t have any adverse affects on the leather. A simple yet brilliant idea. Note: photos courtesy of Panzerheld.
Hi Rene I might have to try that thank you and I did pay a hefty price to me at least it was expensive,
and Andy that’s actually a clever and smart way of doing it especially since they also come in different sizes and could accommodate any helmet liner thank you again Andy and your friend!
Andy - what are those called on eBay ? I saw Michael posted that. I can’t find them though. Unless it’s just an Oz Thang. Thank you!

Zach, I can check with Michael. On eBay I found a similar thing called “Acrylic Clear Cap Display Holder”. Might have to cut some excess off by the look of it.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Andy - I found a couple. All good and thank you!
