The problem with groundfound helmets is that the maker code often is hidden or invisible and that is a key point to check if it is the right decal design for the right helmet.
Second problem is the photo quality , because the decals of ground found helmets are so damaged a lot of key reference points are gone and really sharp big HQ photos are required to even have a chance at authentication.
There are a lot of SS fake ground found helmets out there so without being 100% certain of a decal I would not advice purchasing one.
Looking at the design of the runes these are for a Q helmet , but the close up is too poor to call it.
I am far from a specialist on German SS-helmets so I have to rely on what reference books as 'German Helmets' written by Meland say. According to this book, this decal (as 'Schwerpunkt' says) resembles most the decal of a Quist helmet. I have the impression that this decal is more silver and that should be more typical for pre-war decals (according to this book), but I guess pre-war decals were also used on M40's.
