Hello,
Barn find M42 SD SS helmet. I need help authenticating this helmet. Thanks in advance!

Must say I am not too impressed with the decal or the outside paint but we need to know the maker and lot number of the shell, if you can see those. The interior is so rusty it may not be legible but it is important to know this information.

I would be cautious , impossible to say it is a good one when maker and lot are missing and photos this poor.

The decal appears to be over the top of rust and very thin, no backing to the decal visible when it was applied. The relic shell is fine but value ought to be reconsidered. Not one to throw lots of cash at in my opinion.
