My honest opinion is you may be in trouble with this one. Please post the entire helmet, including the liner, maker/size stamps and lot number stamps along with a head on clear pic of the SS decal with no glare to give a more qualified opinion of this one if you could.
You are right Doug, i must say that you have god eyes, its original refurbished shell with original linner and repro chinstrapp, made by an artist but i belive that its is a very god work, for my reenacting off course!!!

Becourse i toth it woud be little bit harder to determine that its a fake and i yust wont to show that everything is possible this days and with abilitys that some repro helmet artists have, a new german helmet collector and even an older one, coud be fulled by a god repro helmet! My apologies if i ofended someone with my post, that sure wasnt my intentions!
There are some good helmet artists out there, check out the fake camo I posted in the Fakes section by Ruffin.
