Only a detailed close-up of the runes will reveal if that's a good one. Did you find it in the barn with the leather already treated ?

it looks like an EF type pattern rune from that pic but closer pics would be better, rgds Dave

To me that is 'nt look to me like a fresh found one. The liner is indeed is destroyed with oil. And it looks to me like added later. The helmet itself looks " Lick over" The rust cleaned to make it more fresh. And the decal does look like a stranger on this helmet. For sure the better pictures needed. But even from that pictures, I will pass on the helmet without needs to see the other pictures

Here you go! Do you still think its a bad one? In hands looks much better than on the photos, for me ( knowing the source ) its genuine but you can never be 100% these days!
