Here's a salty 65 from the collection

The reverse looks like no 65 that I have ever seen.

I know it's an oddity for sure Ralph. I've seen other makers stamped like this one like 4,100, and my other 2 65s are engraved like yours. However, the paint, furniture, and the frosting are spot on. Along with the frame and raised swaz

Possibly a later war piece that was stamped instead of hallmarks. I can't say 🤔

No, it's the shape of your pin and type of catch. This one would not be for my collection.
My example is not engraved, it is stamped.

I see your point. I unfortunately had to purchase it along with the rest to get the 2 pieces I wanted. I really cannot complain too much I got the entire lot for $575. To include the 2 cased annexation medals. I thank you for your time and knowledge Ralph
