Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse. MIXED !

Hello, I found this sample on Facebook.
The pin has a 'number 20' imprinted on it, but the front is the form of Rudolf Souval maker.
is this normal? Personally, I don't like it and I think it's a case of recombination by someone.

What are your thoughts?

The pin certainly looks Zimmermann.

However, to my untrained eye, I think this is a Souval cross of some type. The giveaway is the starburst shapes at each side of the beading on the top arm

That's fine. It is always doubtful that such non-normal samples are circulating.

IMO, this is a Souval cross with a Zimmermann pin.
The frame characteristics, (as mentioned), and the hinge is too narrow for a Zimmermann.
