Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse - Steinhauer & Lück

Article about: This cross arrived today! I had a look at it in person and got some bad vibes. Is it just me? Is it an ok cross?? It looks exactly like the 2nd pinback version on the EK1 DNA site. [4] Stein

    This cross arrived today!

I had a look at it in person and got some bad vibes. Is it just me?

    Is it an ok cross??

It matches the 2nd pinback version of the ST&L crosses on the EK1 DNA site.

Thanks as always for your time!

Is the pin and catch replaced?

At first I thought this looked like an ok, wartime S&L cross. The setup certainly looked like the regular one.

However, the scratches on the pin I think are what gives it away as post war.

I was also concerned about the catch but hopefully others will chime in.

It also looks like it has either been repainted or as previously said, post war, which would explain the paint overspill on the frame.

Thanks alot for the replies! Unfortunately this cross was determined as a post war S&L product over on WAF!

I have returned it to the buyer.

    Thanks again
