Hello Everyone,
I'm thinking of purchasing the Unmarked Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse showing in the photos attached.
This would be my first Iron Cross 1st Class and have done what research I can.
As advised I'm posting here before buying to gauge your opinions.
I have a few questions -
Do you think this is an authentic iron cross?
After doing a bit of research and viewing this webpage (Wilhelm Deumer, Ludenscheid - EK1-DNA) I'm inclined to say that this could be a Wilhelm Deumer, Ludenscheid, early pinback version (Fruhe Nadel-Version).
The hinge, pin and catch seem to match.
The font also seems to match.
This leads into my next question...
Does the cardboard cover match the badge?
It's listed has having the printed details of EISERNES KREUZ 1 KLASSE 1939, KLEIN & QUENZER A-G OBERSTEIN. When checking the website listed above a Klien & Quenzer A-G Oberstein Iron Cross does not look the one shown.
I'd be interested to hear all your thoughts.
Thank you in advance,
