Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse Friedrich Keller marked 66.

Here is a new addition to my collection for the archives. The tricky part with Friedrich Keller is that they are very generic looking, not too much stands out to make them easy to identify. The 66. can be very faint, as is the case here. The stamp almost looks like it may have been added later, but comparing with Friedrich Keller crosses in reference books it does appear genuine. Notable is the fact that the 3 in the 1939 is just a hair taller than the surrounding numbers, the 66 stamp has a period next to it to prevent it from being confused with a 99 and the stamp is placed directly over the solder mark of the ring, which is the case in the reference books, and in my example.
