Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse - Help with maker Please

Hi all,

I would like to show you this unmarked cross and I am interested in who you think the maker is.
I thought of Zimmerman?

When I bought it, I could not see the damaged ring, that was a pity.
It looks like somewhere in time the little suspension ring (Öse) has been re-attached? So the larger ring might not be original. It is not attracted by a magnet, but the oxidation doesn't make me think of altsilber either?

I am interested in your observations, all opinions are appreciated!

Hi,
The cross itself is a Großmann & Co. PKZ 11. Check to see if the ribbon ring is magnetic or not, as I seem to see rust on the ring, suggesting it is iron, which it shouldn't be.

Yeah, that's what I said in the first post: it is not magnetic, but I don't think it is the original ring because of the rust.
I am impressed by your (and a few other collectors') skills to recognize these Eiserne Kreuze 2. Klasse, I really am.
Thanks a lot. I don't know how you guys do it, everytime I think I see the maker it turns out I am overlooking something.
I hope I will ever learn the trick, for now it is back to the books and database!
