Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse mm138 question

Hi guys,

This will be my first post here.

I have an EK2 mm138. I notice that the 6 o'clock arm is somewhat slanted from the left (going down) to ward the right on the obverse side. I thought this may have been a defect of some sort.

However, I saw another mm138 with the same exact slant at the 6 o'clock arm, but this slant is going the opposite way.

Is this a feature of the mm138? Here they are (attached pictures).


Strangely enough, this slant is not (or barely) noticeable or present in the reverse side of the crosses.


Any thoughts and input is highly appreciated.
