Hi Guys, this type is actually documented on Stefan's site as Copy number 10.

But as I have got one in my hands, I thought that I would add some photos here.

At a quick first glance they look "ok" and would certainly fool a new novice collector. But once you look at it in any detail the problems soon become apparent.

The Cross is magnetic and is of three part construction.

First look at the 1939 date and how high it sits in the frame.

Next look at the frame itself. This appears to be hand cut and there are burrs to the metal on the reverse. Observe the inner corners of the frame. Note how the saw cuts do not meet and thus leaving a jagged step.

Next see how the frame sits proud of the core.

Also the pin does not actually sit correctly into the retaining catch.
