These are the only pictures I have, it has been offered for sale and the price seems "too good".

The price for this set if original would be at least $25,000 so in there lies your answer , not original but really much better photos are needed for a full appraisal.

That's probably the worst fake I've seen, even the replicas are made better than this.

Looks like the frame has been hand cut.

Post war Souval RK and late hollow stamped type Souval OLS. It looks like the paint has been touched up at some point.
    Modern aged case and ribbon.

    Regards - Danny

EDIT: I've been searching for an image of these type of Souval OLS and this poor image is about the best I could find.
(I believe member 'Exile' had a Souval set with the same type - he may show us his to compare).

I wouldn't even lower souval's reputation for this one.

It's even worse than the one I have! Mine is fairly decent compared to the one posted here. the one i have is silver, marked L/12 and 800 (or 900, cant tell for sure) on the cross and the oak cluster w/ swords is marked ' silber' with ' L/50' beneath. Also has '900' on the back. the core is magnetic and the swazi is raised to the proper height,( it lines up with the silver frame) the inner arms have been carefully filed. the suspension ring sits above the top arm of the frame as well. my guess is that it may be a high end copy or jewlers copy. opinions are welcome , just wanted to compare a bad fake that started this thread to the one i have as a reference , i dont mean to hijack this thread. Pardon if the photos are sub-par .
    Dean.

    --UPDATE--

Dang..these pics are no good , sorry. I'm using an iPad at the moment. I'll get my digital camera and post better images ASAP.
