    Hi,

I'm a new collector and I'd like to get some information on the items in my possession.

I picked these two up from Arromanches Militaria some years back and there was quite a price discrepancy between the two of them.

One is a pin, and the other is hanging medal.

I do remember the shop saying while these were legitimate items, they were unlikely to have been issued during the War. They had mentioned during the Nazi retreat, numerous boxes of these were left behind and discovered afterwards.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can tell me the difference between the two, and any other interesting facts around the issue and/or distribution of Iron Crosses.

The one with the ribbon is a II Klasse and the pin back one is a 1 Klasse.
Please include good photos of the reverse and obverse.
