Some believe these are post war, but I believe the hardware is compatible with war time produced crosses.

In Mr. Maerz book it states that the catch is cut out of metal ( this one is bent rectangle wire ) and the block hinge is soldered on its side ( this one is on it base ) . The frame has the correct die flaws and the core has the low 3 but IMO post war made . Please wait for more opinions .
Thank you for your opinion. If it is postwar I will return it. How do you differ between war time one and post-war one?
Did you buy the cross as ground dug and heavily cleaned with repainted core ? That is what it looks like to me . The pin is corroded badly as can be seen in the pics . Wait for others to comment .
It was rusted before on some parts and cleaned by the previous owner.
