Leopold Lautenschläger was probably transferred to the Dukhovshchina war cemetery as an unknown soldier. Unfortunately, during the reburial work, not all of the German dead could be recovered from their original grave location and transferred to the Dukhovshchina cemetery. However, there is a possibility that Leopold Lautenschläger is one of the German soldiers whose bones were recovered but despite best efforts could not be identified. probably among the unknown names and personal data of Leopold Lautenschläger are also recorded in the memorial book of the war cemetery.
